Vertical House has partnered with Carter Wray of CW Consulting Services to offer tailored care for our clients as they solidify their sobriety and prepare to reintegrate into everyday life. This collaboration focuses on helping individuals enhance their lives and navigate the transition back into the real world with confidence and support.
Carters BIO: For years I struggled with addiction and low self-worth which kept me bouncing from one toxic relationship to the next. There was no end in sight, and I had somehow normalized living in such a miserable existence. I maintained a well kempt outward appearance to mask the hell I was going through within. Eventually this way of living stopped working for me. It was time to take my life back, and conquer my insecurities that kept me relying on substances as a crutch. Speaking from experience, I know how hard it can be to break the cycle of addiction and awaken confidence within yourself, but I also know that if I can do it, so can you.
My goal when working with others in recovery is to assist them in their reintegration into life after treatment. While some of the principles and protocols are the same, my coaching is not a “one size fits all” method.
Should we choose to work together you will receive a personalized plan to help in your recovery, and reintegration. We will discuss your life goals, career goals, relationship goals, and any other aspirations you may have. Once established, we assess those desires in order of priority and begin to implement tools that will help shift your mindset and motivate you in your journey to achieving them.
While working together we will have weekly meetings and check-ins. You will also have 24/7 voice and text support, directly with me. This is very beneficial in your early stages of reintegration, as you are able to reach out in real time, and not have to wait until our next scheduled meeting.

We met Sommer at Recovery in the Park 2024, where we were inspired by her dedication to helping individuals affected by addiction, especially those facing legal challenges. Sommer is a born and raised Austinite. After almost losing her life as a result of unsafe housing options within the area, she became determined to fight for rights and equality for our underserved communities. This experience, in addition to her experiences with substance use and navigating the system, brought her to THRA. In addition to this new role, she is the Board Secretary for the Statewide Leadership Council and Texas Chapter Coordinator For TimeDone USA.
